It is possible to compile native Windows Edacious libraries using Cygwin. If the Edacious configuration script detects a Cygwin environment, it will automatically include the -mno-cygwin compiler flag, such that the resulting libraries do not depend on the Cygwin library.

  1. Edacious depends on the Agar library. Follow the steps described in the Agar installation guide.
  2. At this point, you should be ready to compile and install Edacious:
      $ tar -xzf edacious-*.tar.gz
      $ cd edacious-*
      $ ./configure && make && make install
